Our 2017 trip to Greece, Turkey, and Egypt was wonderful. Humphrey Bogart was a willing "ship of the desert" for me.

Upon retirement from teaching after 35 years, I fulfilled my dream of again owning Pekingese like I had in my childhood and starting a small breeding program. Molly, seen here being awarded Reserve Winners Bitch by breed authority, Luc Boileau, was bred by Arlon Duit. Her registered name is Ch. Twilight Time of Dud-Lee. Arlon got her dam from Ruby Dudley and bred her once to Ch. Copper Top before giving her to Connie, Ruby’s granddaughter. Connie helped me choose Molly.
I bred Molly to Ch. Lon-Du Legacy. There were three in the litter. The firstborn was a big parti boy that got stuck in the birth canal and died in my hands as I was on the phone with the vet. Ch. Just My Bill was my first homebred champion! Bill finished bang, bang, bang. Georgie (Sweet Georgia Brown) lives with my youngest son, Luke and his wife Amanda and has probably the best headpiece I’ve bred. I would have finished Georgie if I had known what I was doing.
At the same time Molly whelped I had a second litter on the ground. Ch. Claymore Marigold produced a singleton puppy. Molly took him away from Marigold, which was fine by Marigold and suckled him with Bill and Georgie. Ya think she could count to three?
After that I let Molly’s coat grow out and finished her. Then I bred her to Bob Jackson’s Ch. Fourwinds Prime Time. Molly produced Ping and Blossom, who both quickly finished. Then she and Ch. H. T. Opium Prince, (the boy she raised), got together behind the garage, which resulted in a litter of five. The first was stillborn when my friend fell asleep…my fault. Tze, Ch. H.T. Magic Carpet Ride to DeGray, came from that litter as did my son Sam’s “Bruceman.”
